Ok, things like this, yes I understand. TF2 doesn’t have furries or anything close in CANON. Fanon there’s the Tentaspy and Crocosniper, but again, that’s fanon.

What I HATE is when people get up in arms because someone decided they wanted to draw their character dressed as their favorite class. Essentially, cosplay. I literally got chased of an RP forum because I showed off my Sniper outfit I had made in Second Life and my avatar at the time just happened to be a cat. There is NOTHING wrong with that. They aren’t claiming their character IS that class or is canon in the game. It’s just someone taking their personal representation and dressing up as something they like.

I am so tired of “Furries ruin everything.” Frankly, it’s the people who go batshit over any trace of anything furry that ruins things. Same with the anime fan haters. Just because someone likes anime doesn’t make them a weaboo.

I don’t understand the appeal of injecting furries into universes that it’s clearly established they don’t exist.

Because most of the time they AREN’T? They’re just dressing their character they use to represent themselves up as a class. Putting the character in as if they’re canon, yes I agree that’s stupid, but just drawing an anthro character dressed as another character is nothing wrong. That’s like saying “You can’t dress as that character because you’re black/fat/a girl and they aren’t.”

I have a secret: I like to draw the TF2 classes as dogs. Cus dogs are funny-lookin’.

Dogs are great.

I like dogs.

Also I don’t mind furry versions of non-furry characters if it’s clear that the artist put some effort and thought into what animal would best match which character according to their personality and physical characteristics.
